At Mariam's house..Mariam is 21 and a student at Sanaa's university. She lives with her mother and her 3 younger sisters who are respectively 19, 16 and 10. Her father died few months ago. Her mother works as a teacher. Mariam successfully combined traditions and modernity. She has very clear ideas about her future and about the fact that she 'would like to make a difference' for her country. With friends, they have started a human rights group..Mariam, Sarah and Hiba choosing clothes to receive their friends. Sarah studies in Aman, Jordan. She won a scholarship from the German government. At first her mother was not keen to let her go but the girls managed to convince her. She says now that she has understood how important it is for Sarah's future to be able to study abroad.
