At Mariam's house...After getting dressed for the wedding of Mariam's cousin, Mariam and her mother Hafitha are putting on their abayas and niqab to go and take a taxi..Mariam is the only one among her sisters to wear the niqab. Safa is still too young (10) while Sarah (19) and Hiba (16) have opted for the hijab only. They say that if they wear the hijab it will be easier for her to find a proper job especially in a foreign company. Mariam prefers wearing the niqab as she feels more protected from unpleasant comments.
